Post Lumbar (l4/l5) Spinal Fusion update and more

Hi there, all. It’s officially two weeks post-op. I had the surgery mentioned above on Thursday, Aug 14th. I was in the hospital for four days, mainly because my pulse oxygen was in the early 80s to late 80s, and their preference is 92 and above. They went through tests to make sure of no blood clots/pulmonary embolisms and put me back on oxygen for 24 hours. My sister was coming to stay with me for 10 days (she lives in Arizona), so I had to practically beg to get out of the hospital on a Sunday.

Anyone who has spent time in hospitals, you all know nothing gets done on Sundays including discharges usually but they relented and let me go home. The biggest issue was getting nursing staff to walk me as I was supposed to walk 5 times a day but these nurses are busy. I had a CNA who helped with the walking, as well as a dynamo physical therapist, so that helped.  The nursing/doctor staff at Northwestern Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield is TOP-notch.  I really couldn’t have asked for better care.

Anyway, since then, I’ve been working on walking and just getting up enough and moving around enough. The first 4 or 5 days at home I slept a lot but I’ve worked at cutting back on the prescription pain medication to be a bit more alert and get my walking in.  The last few days, I’ve been awake more and only taking one nap a day.

The reality is if I didn’t have the surgery, the nerve damage in my legs and feet would become permanent. So I had to have the surgery since the nerves were severely compressed. My Neurosurgeon at Northwestern is top-notch. Northwestern is #1 for Neurology in the state of Illinois. It’s #7 in the Nation. Anyone who needs a name, if you have a similar condition, send me an email.

So onward to more news: I am letting my website go. It will go dark (offline) by September 15th. I may still see clients up to Dec 31st on a very part-time basis after October 15th (2 months post-op). So hold onto the email address and phone number. I have a Tryst ad as well, but it’s hidden right now while I recuperate. Rates aren’t going to change, so take a good look at that before it goes dark. I’ve been pretty much seeing minimal numbers since summer 2024 so basically heading into that retired phase for this business and NO, I won’t change my mind on that.

A special thank you to the generous souls who have sent me money via Venmo (@Anital5757) or CashApp ($Anital5757). You know who you are.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We are currently facing a substantial financial struggle, primarily due to the tariffs that have impacted my significant other’s trucking company, and, of course, relying on a single income.

The OnlyFans account will also be phasing out by October 1st. Some have already asked why. I am currently exploring other social media platforms to generate income under my real name for the future. That has to be my priority now, and I won’t have the time to promote my OnlyFans. It wouldn’t be fair to take money from subscribers and not do the equivalent work to keep it going.

Thank you all for your support over the years.

xoxo
